Loving the color palette! My fiance is really into camping (the kind where you just take a sleeping bag and go in the woods), so I might go with that. If the elements are too hard for me to make, I'll keep summer as a backup theme.
For the past 30 years, I've been a decorative/tole art designer and published all of my work for painters. I'm never without a pencil and paper to doodle or sketch new ideas as they hit me. For the blog train, I just use patterns that I originally created for wood cutouts for painters. I have found that they work great for scrapbooking as well. I think I probably have had the most fun career of anyone I know

@Elizabeth Thanks!
@Robin So very very pretty!
@Christina I had in mind to go with the camping theme as well.
I've decided to give the camping theme a honest to goodness try. We'll see what happens. lol
Really nice palette this month. Lots of fun to work with.
Oh my gosh, I love your owl, Diane. Out of curiosity, do you hand-draw all of your elements?

That's really cool! And even better and helpful your designs could translate into the digital scrapbooking world.
Here is what I will have for the July blog train.
