here is mine - just a pack of papers. they will be full size and tagger size available. thank you to Marisa, Janet and Billie for some of the overlays used in making these papers
Yes, Marisa...I got the email and the reminder for the blog train and yes, of course I'll make a contribution! Just waiting to see all the lovely stuff that'll be on here!! Btw, thank you for the invite and for personally reaching out to everyone!
Thank you for the invitation and reminder, Marisa. I'm working on a contribution. Things are progressing a bit more slowly than I would like - I'm a bit rusty at this.
I've not been here in ages as I moved on to creating illustrations and patterns for POD, but still do paper packs occasionally. Haven't done anything with my website in almost a year and this would be something good to add.
I'm thinking of doing homey type things including flowers because .. flowers!
This is my preliminary preview. I will only post the link from my email cloud at the end of August. I don't have a specific theme, it's more of a corner shop for scrap elements . I have traced, drawn, photographed, cut out and created these myself over the years with PI and PS in training courses and using tutorials.
Hi everyone. I haven’t scrapbooked in what seems like forever but must surely be at least a few years. I only just saw the email about this blog train and it’s weird because I actually do have some things I want to scrapbook!
There isn’t much time, but if I manage it I will contribute something. I don’t have a blog any more but I do have Dropbox so I can provide a link.
Wow, this looks like it will be an amazing blog train! Here's my contribution to be on my blog Sept. 1. (The name comes from the general idea that hummingbirds will migrate soon.)
loving everyone's work! this will be an epic blog train!

Ruby - love your design name! I'm guessing it's a Stormlight Archives reference?
Becky - thank you! but no, that's not where i got my design name. i actually got it on LiveJournal back in the early 2000s. at the time i was searching for a design name as i was really getting into tagging and "made by Ruby" didn't appeal as it was boring lol.
someone was giving away the username stormlight on LJ and you had to write a blurb about why you wanted the name. i came up with a couple sentences about how my inspiration was like a chaotic storm and the lightning strikes were the creations lol. the giver chose my comment for its creativity. after i won, i realized that my random blurb actually made sense to how i create. so i started using Stormlight in graphics circles and the longer i've used it, the more i like it.
to keep it extra distinct, i pulled from my love of Star Trek to include the Bajoran ideogram symbols in my logo/watermark (those symbols are the letters SD in the Bajoran ideogram font). as i told a longtime friend when i first started designing, if someone were to ever try to rip off something of mine, it would be easily identifiable as mine because it is extremely unlikely anyone else would be using a Bajoran font on their watermarks LOL!
Ah, LiveJournal. Now that's a blast from the past. I got all excited because that's a series from one of my favorite modern fantasy authors. But thanks for the story, that's a fun one!
I've made a couple simple paper packs. I'm moving my website right now (great timing, right?) so I'm hoping everything'll be up and running in time. If not, I'll just post links. Thanks for the email about the train - I haven't participated in a while, life got kinda hectic!
You have to upload your BT preview to a host, or to your own cloud with a provider. Then insert the link to it into Marisa's final list, then check under Preview whether it is displayed correctly. Some links from hosts already have the characters of an image ([img][/img]). If not, you have to use the image insertion icons in the top left of the edit window.
thanks for this as I was about to ask the same question. Unfortunately I tried what you've suggested here, and it's still not working for me. I remember there was some issue when posting previews from dropbox, and that you had to use the URL not the download link to get it to work - but that isn't working, so I'm guessing that in the years since I was last here, things have changed again.

I'm so rusty at this that I kind of feel like I need to apologize for a sub-par kit. But I tried my best. I also did a pack of solid-ish papers.

Looking forward to this!!!
I have my add on (page 1-with my kit) :-*
Very beautiful all parts ladies !

Pretty Colors would love to contribute.
This is going to be a great blog train!

Wow, this is going to be a spectacular anniversary blog train next month. I'm looking forward to using it.

Can someone please direct me to direction on how to post a preview? I've done my mini, emailed it to support and now I need to post my preview.
Thanks in advance!

After reading that I remembered doing that in the past.
Kat -
I have a macbook.
I created a private album on my facebook profile, uploaded the photo. Opened the photo and right click on photo. Clicked on copy photo address.
Clicked on yellow photo icon and pasted the address and 600x600 pressed enter.
JILL
thank you so much!
