[FULFILLED] Mechanic theme

I adore working on cars, and have this weird thing with taking thousands of pictures of my car. I was hoping for some mechanic theme elements. I am AWFUL at drawing, all I can do is extractions, and play with shapes. Anything to do with the insides of a car, or the tools. Maybe like a lift, ratchet, bolts, etc. I have some of my own tools that I want to extract, but I think some doodles, or drawings would be fun.

This would also be fun for an expansion "manly" kit... It could include all kinds of tools, for the auto, house, plumbing, etc... for those Fix-it type hubby's, too. smiley

ETA: you could include a tool box, tire lift, hanging work light... ummm' endless items...

Nicole ... in other words you want a 'spanner' in the works lol smiley ... sounds cool ... I know I've got lots of photos of my hubby working on cars before they went digital and computerized

so Susan... what is a 'spanner'? inquiring minds want to know... smiley

Shawna .... a spanner is a crescent wrench ... you've probably seen them ... maybe your hubby has one .... it has a long handle with a moon shaped top which fits a nut on a screw .... they used to use them a lot more than they do now ...it's all air wrenches now. A 'spanner in the works' means to throw the spanner into the gears and thus creating havoc or a mess .... it used to be a common phrase when things didn't go the way they should ...

I just couldn't resist putting it in lol smiley

I've never heard them referred to as that before! smiley

that's funny... two of my 6 brothers were mechanics and hubby works on all our cars for everything so far... and I'm usually out there with him unless it's a loooong job and cold outside. LoL ...and I've never heard a crescent wrench called that either. I'm not a mechanic per se' but I can change my own oil, spark plugs, distributor, tires, oil & air filters... all the basics, so even tho I'm a novice I still consider myself more experienced than most women with cars. Needless to say all 5 of us girls are a bit tomboy'ish... smiley
Also, have 3 brothers that are either GC's or in home building or the like and know lots of tools from that aspect and you threw me for a loop.
smiley learn something new everyday. It makes sense that it was called a spanner as it has a fairly decent "span" it can cover as far as a tool goes. smiley

Maybe after the martial arts kit and April blog train... I'll have to see how spring is coming along by then. If it's nice enough out, I'll want to be out while it's still cool enough to breathe during the day.

While it's not mechanic-themed, the new PU kit in Karry Dempsey's freebie thread has an open-end wrench, screwdriver, and hammer in it. I didn't check for more tools, but I spotted those at a glance.

I might try to make a mini kit like this. I'll let you know!

I finally made something for this if your still interested in using it. I offered it in the freebies section here, let me know what you think!

I gave this a try too.

You can get it in my BLOG

Sharon-Dewi and I released a huge bundle today, which can be used for Ftahers Day, but for so much more. And... There is a "spanner" in there Susan!
There are also a number of bolts, screws and mechanical things in there that I obviously don't know the name off... smiley

Hope you can use it!
