I've been working on some overlays but for some reason they are coming out huge in file size. I've tried everything to lower it but nothing is working..I'm using PS CC 2021.
Sometimes saving in PNG is just really big depending on the file and how much info there is. As far as I know there aren't a lot of options when saving in PNG, you just have to simplify the actual overlay if you want it to be smaller. If you can remove some colors, and make it more gray scale that sometimes helps.
Thank you Marisa, I did however figure something out. When you first save as png you get a popup box asking about compression. I always kept mine at Medium and hit ok everytime never thinking to set it to Small. After changing it they are alot smaller now, it takes longer for them to save using Small but the file size is much better.
