I need a " Web Hosting Service "

✿ Hello Hello Fellow Scrapers!

I am in the need of a Web Hosting Service & just can't make up my mind as
to which would be best. Can I ask what ya'll use & or suggest?!
The May Challenges seems a hoot! I gotta get busy!
Thanks bunches in advance! ❥

Are you planning on building a site? Or just hosting for files to share?

OOoo! Excellent question!
I do have plans to build a site ...
But not sure how far in the future that will be! HaHaHa

I can tell you that I have been using InMotion hosting for about 8 years now. I started on a shared plan at the time when my site was quite small. I had to upgrade over time because my site (Scrapbook Campus) has grown A LOT (it now has almost 1000 pages, and hundreds of video tutorials).

You can read more about InMotion HERE.

On the other hand, if you only wanted hosting to store files to share, you could use AmazonS3. Although it is a bit tricky to set up, once it is done, you have basically nothing else to do, and it costs only pennies, even for a lot of files. For several years, I would pay less than $5/month to host dozens and dozens of videos! You just pay as you use so if you use less, you pay less.

Thank you SO much for your help Carole!
I appreciate your time indeed.
I took a quick peek at your site too, very nice!
Information so crucial for Paint Shop Pro.
That is what I used for years, just now hopping into Photoshop.
Very similar in many processes, but absolutely different in ease of use!
* For me anyway! HaHaHa

Since you might be familiar with both programs, come and stick around my Campus. There is a lot of free stuff and you might easily transpose from one program to the other!

Hello Jenifer,

do you mean a provider for a blog or website or a picture hosting with quality and links to send?

If the latter is the case, I can recommend Photobucket, where I collect my important family scraps and birthday cards in digital albums and then send them, linked with a password, to my loved ones and friends to look at. I also link thank-you cards for the forum from there (so that there are no gaps in ForumThreats. It is a paid service, but you can also cancel or update it.

Hello Carole!
Thank you for the invitation!
I will come visit you indeed! ❥

Hello Doska!
Thank you too for sharing with me!
I will look into that! ❥
I thought that I had finally found a solution and tried my Goggle Drive as well.
** Just tested. Failed!
HaHaHa

I have tried a few things & I just can't get the links to show on my preview.
* Back to the drawing board!

I think I got it!

for a free image hosting site, i highly recommend postimage - postimg.cc. their only drawback i've found is that you have to delete files individually.

if you're interested in paying, Fotki is supreme. their plans are extremely cheap, plus they give you abilities like password protected individual albums/folders. plus subfolders in folders and albums in either. i.e. i have a folder for my blog stuff. within that i have a subfolder for blogtrains. then albums inside the subfolder.

so for blogtrains from this group, the preview images go into blog > blogtrains > DS.

That is exactly what kind of service I am needing!
I will look into that, Ruby! Thank You! ❥
