I have used a PC exclusively all these years and recently switched to a MacBook. I'm loving it, however, from all my years as a pro photog and digital scrapper, all my data is on an external harddrive that was formatted for the PC. I have a new external harddrive that I use for my Mac.
So my question is, can I reformat my other HD to use with my Mac without losing the data? If so, how? And if not, how do I transfer/access the data on that drive for use on my Mac? Thanks.
I don't have a Mac so I cannot help you but
Don't format your HD, you'll lose everything!
I find ChatGPT or another AI very useful for walking through tecnhical processes like this.
Yes, I understand this. Thanks.
I use Backblaze as by backup for my computer and EHD. Last year I went from a PC to MAC. I was able to buy a formatted drive of all my files in MAC for my new computer. Once I sent the drive back, I was refunded. Not sure if that is helpful for you. This process just allowed me not to have to worry about doing it myself.
