Trying to create a planner in GIMP

So I am trying to create charts (chore, fitness, habits, etc), a planner but also a planner to be on a large-ish dry erase board. I just can't figure out how to do it! I have tried to just do rectangles and squares to create the boxes and writing lines but I can never get them lined up easily. I've seen a lot as freebies that are just plain but they are always only for PU (which is perfectly fine ofc), then I've found some that aren't freebies and are CU but they always have lots of designs on them and I just want a simple plain design that is basically the writing lines, boxes, etc. I use GIMP but if there any free sites or downloadable apps that I can create this stuff on I would love the advice, if you know how to do it on GIMP that would be amazing as well. Either way, thank you bunches for reading and I hope you have a good day/night!

This is a Photoshop tutorial, although I'm guessing Gimp will have similar align tools. Just make one box like you want it, with the lines, etc, put it all in a group and duplicate as many as you need. Then use your align tools to make it all straight.

Thank you thank you thank you! I honestly probably can't say it enough lol.

This is what I needed too. Thanks for that, Marisa.
