Converting a Square Layout Template to Rectangle, video

In this video I show you how to convert a square layout template to a rectangular format. It's not an exact science, but I show how to easily change the canvas size and then move the layers around as needed.

Here are screenshots for the two steps in resizing the layout. First, go to Image -> Image size and keeping the square dimensions, change to the largest dimension of your rectangle. In this case I'll choose 10 inches, for an 8x10 layout.

Next go to Image -> Canvas size and crop to your rectangle dimension. In this case I'll made the width 8 inches and crop towards the right where most of the layers are.

Now you can drag the layers around as needed to fit your new canvas.
