Making a Paper Preview, video

You can download the paper preview template here.

The following video will show you how to customize it for any number of papers.

This is so excellent. Thank you so much! I had no idea how to do the things you demo'd in this tutorial; making previews is going to be infinitely easier now!

Thank you!

Thanks, Marisa. Saved me a lot of trial and error.

Holy crow! I just made ones for 44 pages, 27, 19 and 9 in no time! AND all spaced evenly THANKS to YOU! Sweet!

This is wonderful! thank you so much!

Very good tutorial thankyou.

Thank you!

excellent!!!!!! this will save me a headache!!

Fantastic tutorial. I was clueless.

It is so much easier to see something being done than to try and read through directions that a person may not fully understand. Thanks for all your tutorials!

Nice tutorial! Thanks!

I always learn so much from you about using Photoshop. I've been fighting with it for so long and you have so easily shown me many skills.

Thank you. I am learning so much about Photoshop from your tutorials.

Such a great tutorial. WOW-- you do things so fast.

Thanks for the paper preview link too. I went and got that.
Hope to use it very soon. smiley

Thank you Marisa, now I just have find the same functions in GIMP and I am ready to go! smiley

I've always wondered how were these previews made. Now I am eager to create my own papers and thena preview. Maybe I'll make a set of glitter papers (that I've learned with you)!

When I move my recently opened paper to the "Papers" group and right-click the option "Create Clipping Mask" is not available. What am I doing wrong?

Make sure the paper is directly above the layer you want to clip it to:

another great tutorial.. thanks marisa!!

Awesome! Thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much for this tutorial and for the link to get the template of the preview itself. I have been wondering how these were made and thanks to your tutorial I know now how to do make them. Enjoying this!

Hi Marisa!

What were the buttons you were clicking at the top of the screen? You said something like "Using the Move Tool, I'm just going to click on this one here" but I don't know what they were. They looked like little rectangles with lines, and the Tool Tip that flashed up said Distribute Horizontal (something) - I've watched this part a number of times, but it flashes up so quickly that I can't read it all.

Those are different alignment tools. They'll help you center things, or space things out evenly. Just try selecting several layers and then clicking on the different buttons to see what happens. I think you'll be excited. smiley

Thanks for replying, Marisa! I'll have to try it out soon!

Wow, Thanks so much for this, Marisa! I am still new to PS, after using Gimp for years. I feel as if I will never catch up to all the amazing things these programs do. Darn work always gets in the way! smiley

Thank you. I really needed something.
