new to Digital Scrapbooking

Good morning, I'm new to digital scrapbooking and I'm in the middle of writing a Family History book digitally using MyCanvas from Ancestry.com. For the most part it's going well and once I discovered I can upload fabulous elements (Paper, tags, etc) I've gone crazy be creative. Although I want it to have a somewhat old look on a majority of pages, tweaking them has added much eye appeal. I greatly appreciate being able to download daily with my 5 DC's. Today there was a new kit posted (Nautical by PolkaDot Scraps) with I LOVE but I don't know how to find the various elements it is made of. Can you tell me how to do this. I'm a senior and not sure how to find in the forum if this has been discussed before.
Thank you for your help.

Welcome Marion!

Unfortunately I'm not familiar with the kit you are trying to find. Was it part of the July Blog Train? This is a community event that some of our members take part in. The contributions are all hosted on each designer's blog.

I was looking at a project uploaded this morning by Saskia Voldhoen called Shooting Memories. The kit used was Nautical by PolkaDot Scraps. Hope this helps you help me. I'm looking forward to learning more from such talented people. Thank you, Marion

yes, it was the second one down on the day it was presented. It's blues with a nautical theme.
Thank you

Sorry, I'm not sure I was clear. If you follow the pink link, it'll take you to the Polka Dot Scraps blog where you can find the Nautical kit that Saskia used in her page.

Polka Dot Scraps is outside DigitalScrapbook.com, so you won't find it on the forum - but the Nautical kit is a freebie that you can download. Follow the link to the blog page (posted below) and it's the second preview image labelled Nautical. You might get a warning page for sensitive content like I did, but click I understand and wish to continue and it'll take you to the blog page with the download.

Click to go to Polka Dot Scraps.

Thank ya'll for your help. Having fun

Lots of good tutorials here & welcome smiley
