Very awesome layout, Harriett!
Love how you made a stamp from the photo!
That is seriously awesome Harriett! Great use of space and color to accent the darling photo. Also, I'm definitely going to have to scraplift yours/Cintia's stamp technique. Now just to find the right photo. :)
This is seriously cool, lol. Love it!
Cool! :]
Cute! I love the background paper it seems to add a lot with out being too distracting
I really like this a lot! The newsprint, colorful border, the sillouette shapes, plus all the embellishments and photo. So pretty!
Thank you, Cintia. Your explanation is very clear. I'm going to practice it right now so I don't forget. I used a pretty primitive method to get my stamp. I used the magic wand to physically choose the girls and their shadows, copied selection, filled with black, adjusted opacity, added a radial gradient overlay.
Oh!!! And how did you do to obtain that effect?
Hi Harriet, I think your page turned out great and now I am going to scraplift yours!!! :D Absolutely not a bad effect! Only a different one!
Of course I don't mind telling you how I did mine. ( But I never scrapbook in photoshop because I'm lazy (shush, don't tell anyone!!) I LOVE photoshop for designing (papers, elements, etc...) but when it comes to create LOs I prefer Craft Artist... It's so much easier!!!!
So... Instead of telling what I did, I am going to tell you how you'll do that in photoshop ok?
First of all, open the picture you want to obtain that effect. Than go to Image--> Edit--> Treshhold. Play a little until you are happy with the result ( Basicly what treshhold does is turn your picture to black and white. No gray areas. Just blacK and white. You can add more or less black/ white Playing with the levels.) When it is done you are almost there. Now put your altered pic wherever you want in your LO and play with the blendings (I used multiply. It instantly erased all the white areas and the black acquired the texture below) Now if you still think the black iss too black (I did) try to reduce a little of the opacity of your layer. There see? Peace of cake! If there is anything you need better explained ( I suck at explaining!!!) don't hesitate to ask! Hugs!!!!!
What a beautiful scraplift and awesome use of the kit!
gorgeous - love the silhouettes.
