'The Curio Pantry' is what I design under. If you are not familiar with my designs they are a bit eclectic, mostly elegant & vintage inspired designs with a little cuteness here and there. I dabble with hand drawing so at times you may see some of that worked into kits.

My grandmother was a Cushing - but clearly we are not Cushings after all.
Journaling: Samuel William Harrison Cushing was my 2nd great grandfather on my father’s side. On the genealogy papers given to me by my grandmother someone had written “he was adopted but some say not really”. Well I found proof he was indeed adopted and also had a completely different name! George H. Lang which was legally changed to Samuel William Cushing. His biological mother was Hannah Elizabeth Day. She was not legally married at the time and he was born 1867. She gave him up to the Massachusetts Infant Asylum where he spent 2 years. Then he was given over to the Home for the Destitute in 1870 because he was over 2 yrs old. He wasn’t officially adopted by the Cushings until 1879. I’ve never found them to have any other children.

Thank you Robynne!
Wonderful Genealogical LO Jessica. Love the Vintage look as well. Found for the July 2021 GSH
@Jill Thank you! Sometimes I think it takes just as much time & creativity to find ancestors & their info as it does to scrap about them all lol!
@Denise Thanks! I will admit after seeing Marisa's template it fostered the folder idea. :)
Great genealogy page! I love your journaling and how you layered all your papers like it's a folder full of papers!
Lovely LO, Jessica, & good job finding all those details. I went onto Ancestry.com once, & didn't come up with anything much.
