Journaling: Lil Miss and myself got out and picked mulberries before the birds would eat them all. Seems that this was an extraordinarily good year for them! They were in abundance on the tree and they were sweeter than usual! So I had my son shake the berries out of the tree. Then she and I spent awhile picking them up.
Afterward she and I spent even more time washing them and cutting the stems off so we can freeze them. We haven't had much time this summer but I am so glad w were able to get this much done with the mulberry harvest. I am hoping the new place has some mulberry trees as well since Lil Miss loves Mulberries like nobody’s business.

@AMarie ahh I see! Thank you Laine & Chitra! I have always loved berries myself, and especially love my black raspberries! Loved seeing your own brambles page Chitra! ♥
Got an idea...will make a LO with brambles...! Thank you Jessica for the idea! Great LO & precious time spent making memories with lil miss!
Yes, brambles are very common in India too, they grow all along the roads and are sometimes used for hedging. Delicious fruit! Best picked off the bush and eaten then and there!!
fabolous mashup.
@Jess - Yes, but in french, we have just one word (mûres) for all...
Thank you Mary, AMarie and Bourico! ♥ The Red Mulberry is what we have here in Kentucky and it is a native tree. @AMarie By brambles do you mean blackberries/raspberries? We have those too and I especially love the black raspberries (also called blackcaps).
Humm, it's so good ! Wonderful layout and photos!
We don't have so much mulberry trees at home either, but brambles, whose fruits are tastier!
Yum they look great. I don't think I have ever tasted a mulberry. We don't appear to have them in NZ. Fantastic page and journaling.
