About Me
My name is Jessica but you can call me Jessi or Jess if you prefer! Curiopantry.com is my blog where you can find freebies and inspiration. If you are not familiar with my designs they are a bit eclectic, mostly elegant & vintage inspired designs with a little cuteness here and there. I dabble with hand drawing so at times you may see some of that worked into kits.

Journaling: 24th: The light was pretty in the farmyard so I took a photo of our only White Langshan chicken. 25th: It was hot enough to literally cook an egg on the ground, but we did get out to pick the blackberries. 26th: The rotary phone came in from Ooma. E tried out his vintage phone - it can receive calls but not dial out with the new dial signals. Kids made their first phone call using the rotary. | 27th: Before B leaves for Ky on the 28th, I made pizza. We discovered the native Carolina Wild Petunias, and Whorled Rosinweed growing around the yard. | 28th: B was supposed to leave for Ky but the timing belt broke so K had to get that fixed first, he will leave tomorrow. We picked our first tomatoes from the garden. 29th: B left in the morning, and then E, K, & I did farm chores. The first thing the Jersey Giants did is run over to the water. Took a walk after chores & saw the Crepe Myrtle is blooming & the Tiger Lilies will bloom soon.

Thanks Chitra & Mary! It was a nice week despite the awful heat lol! @Chitra I check out sites like virginiawildflowers.org & plants.ces.ncsu.edu to learn what's in the local area. But I will also drag my flower photo into a google or bing image search and find matches. After finding potential matches I compare stem, leaves, flower, time of bloom, ect to make sure I have a correct ID. I also will observe it throughout the seasons to verify my results. And yes it was pizza. ♥
Jessica, I see in your LOs that you name the wildflowers growing around your farm...how do you know their names? Or is that a silly Q? But I suppose when your live so close to nature, you learn what is what...xoxoxo
P.S The berries look tempting as does the pizza...is it pizza or...? xoxoxo
Beautiful Jessica. Sounds like a great week on the farm
