About Me
I'm a freelance editor, writer and photographer. I picked up cardmaking as an art hobby more than 25 years ago. That led to scrapbooking, but really took off when digital scrapbooking software started popping up on the market. Thanks to PixelScrapper, I have honed my design skills and do some small design jobs for hire, along with my regular editing and writing. I live in the beautiful state of Montana where I work from home and volunteer for a local non-profit called the Dylan Steigers Concussion Project. I also teach water aerobics at our local Women's Club. (Otherwise, I might sit on the couch all day designing!). Besides a passion for photography, I love sports, flyfishing, cardmaking, gardening, and walking. My goal is to try to learn a new technique or enhance existing ones every month so I can give back to this wonderful community of scrapbookers through the PS blog trains.

Sorry for inundating you all with beagle pages, but I probably took a hundred photos of our Jerzey girl in the last few days when we knew we had to say goodbye, and I want to get these pages cranked out while the memories were still fresh. One of the things we said after Jerzey had cancer surgery in 2013 was that we'd know it was time to put her to sleep when she no longer wanted to or could go for a walk. This was our last walk with her, and she struggled, so we made the decision after this walk that it was time. It was three days later that we put her down. It's always the hardest and saddest part of having a dog, but it is the most loving thing we can do for them; they depend on us to not prolong their suffering, and dogs will endure all kinds of pain for their humans, so it's up to us to be in tune to their feelings through their movements and actions. If it were up to me and my feelings, I would have kept her around forever. I used Janet Scott's portion of the Bad Day collaboration https://www.digitalscrapbook.com/marisa-lerin/kits/bad-day-collaboration-bundle-blue-purple-gray here at DigitalScrapbook.com with template #3 of template pack 68 from AK Designs (no longer selling as of this posting).

Aww... this is beautiful. I had a beagle growing up too. Her name was Sweetie and this makes me think of her.
Awwww, beautiful way to remember your Jerzey :(
Thanks Susannah. Yes, it's a bit of therapy. Out of all the dogs I've had (and we've had some good ones), I think she was my fave. :-)
RIP Jerzy. I hope scrapping these precious moments is helping with your loss. Pets are family.
