Description
We recently made a crazy road trip of nearly 4,000 miles in just 8 days. It was fun, emotionally draining (the purpose of the trip was a funeral), exhausting and amazing. We saw some neat things like the plains - never been there, Lincoln's tomb, Harry Truman's house and library, the Gateway Arch, the Ohio River at crazy flood stage, Eisenhower's library, a super lame town in Indiana called Santa Claus - where it is Christmas all year EXCEPT for between the months of January through April, a stop at the worlds oldest active geocache - Mingo GC30, met some wonderfully kind and friendly strangers (or new friends) and many other things. It is something I know I shall never forget.
To create this layout I used a template from Nettio Designs called Oh the Places and Marisa's Road Trip bundle.

Wow! Hope you've recovered from the trip. Glad you were able to turn it into something memorable despite its more somber purpose. The layout is fabulous, and I have to admit, I'm jealous about the geocache ;)

Wonderful layout! We made the cross country trip one-way in 4 days when we moved from CA to WV. I totally understand how exhausting it is. I can't imagine turning right around and going back!

I love that you chose papers for the individual states! Im sorry about the reason for the trip, but I'm glad you were able to have high points as well!
