Journaling = Before starting on the trail I decided to stop at the bathroom. I thought it was funny to see how serious they take theft from the bathroom. Everything was locked down tight.

I loved the funny sign about cleaning up after your dog on the trail. Unfortunately, you had to keep your eyes open because people were not so good at taking the hint.

Lillian loved walking around the lake picking up dandelions and tossing stones into the water.

I also loved watching Jacob and Lily interact with each other. One picture I took of them standing on the water's edge reminded me so much of a picture I had taken of Jacob and Hannah when she was about that age.

On the way back into Anchorage we noticed so smoke and found out that there was a wildfire right on the edge of the city and homes had been evacuated. Luckily, there were able to bring up some of the crews fighting the larger fires further out to quickly get this under control.
