Hybrid Scrapbook LayoutDescription
A hybrid layout I created using a variety of paper scraps, printed and collected images, Washi tape and ephemera. The butterflies are vintage cigarette cards and the bird outline is a drawing I did, overlaid onto a painted background. The black floral pattern in the background is a Lino cut print that I did for a project at university.
I collect a huge amount of paper scraps and materials and store them in drawers to use on my projects and collages. I never know how (or when) they will be used so it’s great to pull together a layout that uses them. I will usually start with one or two main focal elements, then build up the rest of the layout around them.
I have added additional elements to my layout in Procreate (iPad) and these have been edited to fit with the design. I have tagged the elements that I have used from this website in the design.
The font I used on this design is ‘Ethnic Love’ this is available to purchase online.
