About Me
My name is Kristi and I live in northern Indiana with my husband, Mark, a very spoiled Bichon Frise, Tucker, and a cockatiel, Hannah. We have two grown sons, Adam & Jared. Jared is married to Emily and are the parents of my two sweet Grands, Calvin & Rosie who are the subject of the majority of my scrapbook layouts.
I was a long-time physical scrapper following the trends found in magazines such as Creating Keepsakes and even had a few of my layouts published. Life got busy and physical scrapping got pushed to the back burner. I have now been digital scrapping for several years. I started with Project Life, switched to Over/Studio and now am exclusively using the Affinity Suite of programs.

Christmas Cookies
11-14-22
Journaling: One of my most fond childhood memories from around Christmas time was Kim & I going to Grandma Ruth’s house and making Christmas cookies with her. She would get the dough made and then the creating began. All of the supplies would be laid out on the kitchen table including lots of flour, sugar, sprinkles, red hots, and more. We would roll out the dough and use all kinds of Christmas cookie cutter shapes and then decorate them with all of the stuff, probably too much stuff. By the time we were done, we had dozens of cut-out decorated Christmas cookies. I remember each of us would pick out a special one that we had made for Grandpa when he came into the house and I am sure we ate plenty ourselves. I don’t recall thinking much about the mess that we must have created but I am sure it had to be huge and Grandma Ruth never said a thing about it. Now being a Grammy myself and baking cookies with Calvin & Rosie a few times, but so far, never cut out sugar cookies as we made with Grandma Ruth, I know the mess first hand, but also know those are memories that will be cherished forever.
I did not take these photos because sadly I don't think there were any photos taken of our time making cookies with Grandma Ruth. Pics courtesy of Pixabay.

Creation Details: I used a blend mode and transparency on the page border to blend into my background a bit more. The scalloped border in the middle of the page, instead of using as is, I used as a mask and clipped other kit paper to it.
