Mosaic Canyon in Death Valley, July 2014. Beautiful! I couldn't have known beforehand that Death Valley would be one of the highlights of our 4 weeks road trip. The colors and shapes of the rocks are amazing. I had only ever been to the desert in Egypt, which is a sand desert. This vast expanse of rocks in every color of the rainbow, the harsh but beautiful landscape, it was all very fascinating to a Dutch city couple!
I like this template for Mosaic Canyon because of the mosaic feel to it. I contrasted the weird natural shapes with the floor tile mosaic.
The word Mosaic I made from a bold font (Impact), to which I then clipped a photo of an ancient mosaic.
