About Me
I homeschooled all three of my kids from pre-K to high school graduation. I am currently staying home, recovering from a much needed knee replacement. We have a small six acre farm with goats, donkeys, chickens, ducks and geese, one handicapped cat, three "shelter" kittens, six guinea fowl, and four Great Pyrenees Livestock Guardian Dogs. Although I was very involved with "paper and glue" scrapping, my digital files originally were purely for greeting card making for our family and friends and for gifting. I have discovered that I have a digital hoarding addiction and am accumulating far more lovely items that I can use, but I am enjoying the guilty pleasure of collecting them nonetheless! I very recently purchased Photoshop Elements 2018 and am beginning to learn digital scrapping.

My first digital scrapbook page. Wow, is this different from paper and glue scrapping... hopefully it comes easier quickly!
These are three of my favourite photos of me with my two sisters. My older sister, Barbi, was 14-1/2 years older than me, so it was like two different generations. Everyone tells me that Barbi carried Mary and me around so much that people often thought she was a very young mama. We have missed her since she died in 2012, especially now that Mary and I are all that remains of our birth family as Mama had died in 1992 and Daddy died almost exactly a year after Barbi. Truly, as the saying goes, “When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure.”
I used Jessica Dunn’s “Life in Full Bloom” - https://www.digitalscrapbook.com/forums/digital-scrapbooking/pixel-scrapper-blog-trains/april-2016-blog-train-final-list
The lace strip is from Janet Scott’s “Summer Fields” kit. Hers is green… I needed white! https://www.digitalscrapbook.com/janet-scott/designs/summer-fields-green-lace-asset-ribbon-embellishment-edge-trim-vintage-scallop
#159 Subtle diamond overlay - http://melstampz.blogspot.com/2012/06/over-100-free-pattern-overlays-at-glance.html
My text is written in Dancing Script font; my title is written in Chocolate Box Decorative font.

Thank you, Chitra!
Love this LO, Madge...simple & nostalgic, ... a warm tribute to your lovely sister.
Thanks for the encouraging words, Jessica. And thanks for designing the lovely kit so I could work with it. When I first saw it several months ago, I knew I would use for my first page it if I ever decided to take the first step from card-making to scrapping digitally. I really wanted to do a creative layout like I have seen in so many stunning designs here, but I found myself slipping into my comfort zone with a simple layout I depended on a lot with my Creative Memories scrapping. I think I will enjoy the creativity of others and do what comes naturally to me. Less pressure, more room for growth!
Yay for your 1st digital page! You did a wonderful job on it! Sweet page highlighting your family Madge. I love the colors you chose and adding that diamond overlay is very pretty!
And I'm sure with time digital pages will get easier for you!
