i am that way too -- annoyed when i've pressed the "send" key before i've even reread what i've written. :-(
on the other hand, Sarah, i envy people who can scrap chronologically. :-) i try (i have 3 albums pending for my photobooks) because i can't finish one album. i get a kit i want to use and then remember that this kit will go perfectly with the pictures that are not in any of those photobooks but i go ahead and scrap those pictures anyway. no discipline. that's what i am. LOL
Grr - make that "I guess *I've had* too much history & geology training...". I hate noticing typos once I've already hit post comment!!
I'm always impressed by people who don't scrap chronologically - & I envy you that you can. I can't, even though I've tried. I guess too much history & geology training - I need to have everything in order & telling a story that builds from the beginning to the end. It makes for great scrapbooks but makes it tougher to scrap as I have to have everything together & organized before I can begin. I can't just sit down & do a page here & there (well, I can, but I need to have the entire story read-to-go before I do!). That's why when I relax, I do book journals & OLW type albums - they don't have much back story!!
that's what I do too -- put my layouts in ring binders -- because I don't scrap chronologically. it's easier for me to add pages this way.
Plus the albums fit on shelves easier & aren't nearly as bulky to look at as the 12x12! I just wish there were really nice albums for them, like the old Creative Memories cloth-bound ones. I have mine in office binders with the view covers (so I can make covers & spines for them) but I'd love them to look less office-y. I know I could print them as photos books but that costs a lot more &, for me at least, don't feel much like scrapbooks!
thanks, Sarah! :-) that's the reason I make my layouts in this size too. photo developers here don't have 12x12 sizes. I don't want to make my layouts in an 8x8 size because I don't like the hassle of having to cut them. :-)
I always enjoy seeing your layouts because there aren't many people scrapping 8.5x11! I do my photo scrapbooks in 12x12 (& I do them hybrid) but my book journal & other journaling type scrapbooks (like One Little Word) are done in 8.5x11 so I can print them easily!
