Waow ! Can't believe I missed this gem in the gallery until now. The wonderful ladies below have said it all before and in much better articulated words than mine would have been... This one is going in my "to lift" folder, for sure.
The max. use of white space is stunning, as is the kind of map/path you created with the patterned squares and arrows. For me it underscores the theme of the journaling - the steps each child takes on the road to growing up. I think it is a brilliant addition to scrapping, this documenting of sad and bad days as well.
guess it is a bitter sweet moment, but that's what kids do- if they're lucky enough to grow up all big and strong :)
i aplaude your choice of memento for this scrap!
In short I'm eclectic, I'm crazy about shades of jade, mint and teal, I see the glass half full but I'm a little leery to drink from it, and I hide my chocolate stash in my closet (shhhhhh).

love the journaling, and the everyday sort of photo, that looks so much more arty and meaningful with the rest of the page to support it!
