About Me
New to Digital Scrapbooking, just started in 2019, want to make a record of family stories before my mother passes away. My dad died in 2016. I currently live in Canada but was born and raised in New Zealand, and emigrated to Canada upon marrying my Canadian spouse. Home Country - lets see - New Zealand or Canada? Which to choose? Most of my photos will be from NZ, but any pics of my son will be from Canada. MY IP Address will say that I am in Canada which is fine. My mother and sister are still back in NZ so I will make my home country as NZ for now. For Facebook, I dont check it every day - I am not addicted to FB, and I use a different name for privacy. My image is myself as a child - aged about 2 or 3 years old

Digital Scrapbook LayoutDescription
The Source and Caravans were the first James Michener books that I ever read when I was a teenager. I fell in love with his books and with history. The Source was published in 1965, and Caravans was first published in 1963. This Caravans movie cover edition was published in 1978 as a tie-in to the movie that was released, also in 1978.
The Source tells the story of an archaeological dig in Israel.
Caravans is a story about an American girl in Afghanistan in the 1950s, who falls in love with a local (Afghani) man. Her parents are frantic to stop any kind of wedding. The movie sadly did not follow much of the original story line at all. The movie had an American intelligence agent sent to Afghanistan to rescue the "flighty" American girl and save her from the Afghans.
