H is for Heraldry and History

Description

In 2007 I discovered a book online that piqued my interest. It was called - A Display of Heraldry - and was written by John Guillim in England around 1610. It lists all the details and vocabulary of Heraldry - all the devices used - in what looks to be pretty close to Shakespearian English.

Another man, Paul Grant also from England, was in the process of transcribing this book onto a webpage. Sadly he lost interest in the project and the website has since been removed.

I did manage to obtain a PDF copy of the book from Mr Grant, but as yet I have not done anything further. But Heraldry ties in pretty closely to Genealogy.

I also love History and Halloween - as you can tell by the numerous Halloween Layouts I have made. And I like the Hogwarts Universe except that the canon story has so many plot holes and errors. A somewhat poorly written series, IMO.
