Pajama Party

Description

I only vaguely remember this. I could not have been more than 5 or 6 years old. I seem to already have my adult front incisor teeth.

The boy is my cousin, who was born in the same year as me so we would have been the same age. I vaguely recall that his family came up from their home in the South Island to visit my family in the North Island (of New Zealand) one summer holidays (1969 or 1970).

His mother and my mother were adopted (and thus legal) sisters. I think the adults just took this photo coz they thought that we looked cute!!

Just look at that nightie I was wearing. I would now consider that to be positively indecent!!!!!! I cannot believe it was acceptable for girls to wear such stuff back in the 1970s.

I don't think I have seen my cousin since we were teenagers, so that would be pretty much 40 years ago now. I do know that he has been married and divorced and has at least 2 kids. That's about it really. Other than that I never really went to any slumber parties when I was a child. (Slumber parties is what we called them in New Zealand).
