Description
This is a lovely street view photo from Google maps. It was taken in the Silent City of Mdina on the island of Malta.
Malta is one of my favourite places to read about, mostly because it has such a long history. That long history includes being mentioned once in the New Testament.
So it was no brainer for me that I would do another Layout from Malta. I have done several others that are in my Gallery.
This house is NOT really the house that once belonged to Publius, the Chief Official of Malta during the time when Paul was stranded there on his way to Rome. But it might have been. This house actually looks a lot like the home of the wealthy family of Ben Hur which was set just a few years earlier than Paul. The similarities are uncanny.
So that is why I think this house could be used as an example of a house for a wealthy official during the Roman Empire. Such as Publius. (Acts 28 v 7-10)
