New to Digital Scrapbooking, just started in 2019, want to make a record of family stories before my mother passes away. My dad died in 2016. I currently live in Canada but was born and raised in New Zealand, and emigrated to Canada upon marrying my Canadian spouse. Home Country - lets see - New Zealand or Canada? Which to choose? Most of my photos will be from NZ, but any pics of my son will be from Canada. MY IP Address will say that I am in Canada which is fine. My mother and sister are still back in NZ so I will make my home country as NZ for now. For Facebook, I dont check it every day - I am not addicted to FB, and I use a different name for privacy. My image is myself as a child - aged about 2 or 3 years old

So This Happened in March 2021....
I have been fascinated with the Eruption in Iceland from day 2 when the live coverage began streaming.
I check youtube every day to find new POVs and new Videos, especially those by the locals who have flocked to see this eruption in their thousands!!!
The eruption began during the night of 19 March 2021 - but live streaming did not start until Day 2 on the 20th of March and by the time the scientists arrived, there was already a considerable flow of lava. (see left Photo)
The right side photo was taken on the 29th March by a local online news magazine (Grapevine magazine) who sent one of their reporters to the volcano by helicopter. This is the view she got. In just 9 days the entire valley was filled with lava and it was still flowing.
Even today (3rd April 2021 - 2 weeks or 15 days later) after the eruption began, the lava is still flowing. Scientists believe that this will eventually become a shield volcano.
Also there are other volcanos also erupting in North America, South America and Europe as well. Whether or not these are related to the Iceland eruption, is not known for sure, but they probably are.
There are even rumblings that Yellowstone may be waking up - but that it will take decades before anything drastic happens... Just saying...
