The Destination is the Challenge

I have only really done ONE major physical challenge in my entire life. That was walking the Milford Track (twice). I know I have scrapped about this before, but the challenge to get to the end was a major drive for me.

My family and I walked the track twice, because the first time it rained pretty much the entire time. Remember this is a 4 day hike up one valley, over a mountain pass and then down another valley. So we chose to do it a second time, hopefully in better weather.

This photo is me arriving at the final end of the track in February 1991 at the end of the second attempt, in much nicer weather. I overcame the challenge and made it to my destination.
