About Me
New to Digital Scrapbooking, just started in 2019, want to make a record of family stories before my mother passes away. My dad died in 2016. I currently live in Canada but was born and raised in New Zealand, and emigrated to Canada upon marrying my Canadian spouse. Home Country - lets see - New Zealand or Canada? Which to choose? Most of my photos will be from NZ, but any pics of my son will be from Canada. MY IP Address will say that I am in Canada which is fine. My mother and sister are still back in NZ so I will make my home country as NZ for now. For Facebook, I dont check it every day - I am not addicted to FB, and I use a different name for privacy. My image is myself as a child - aged about 2 or 3 years old

Welcome to the LAST letter of the Alphabet.
Al-Khwarizmi was the father of Algebra. He died in Baghdad around 850 CE, which was during the Islamic Golden Age. The idea of Zero was created originally by the Ancient Sumerians and further developed by the Hindus and transported to Baghdad by the trading caravans. The term algebra itself comes from the title of al-Khwarizmi's book (the word al-jabr meaning "completion" or "rejoining"). In this book he states that if no number appears in the place of tens in a calculation, a little circle should be used "to keep the rows". This circle eventually became the Zero. Without the Zero, there would be no Algebra or Calculus or Computer Programming for that matter.
To help make this more easier to understand, Try adding Roman numerals together. For example 103 (CIII) plus 49 (XLIX). There is NO Zero placeholder because it is built into the numbers already.
Z is also for the Zeno Brothers. There is a map called the Zeno Map supposedly drawn by Antonio and Niccolo Zeno, who were Venetian brothers. This map shows land on the west side of the Atlantic (Possibly Newfoundland or Nova Scotia) They supposedly set sail from Scotland in the late 1300s along with Henry Sinclair, who was a member of the Knights Templar. It is rumoured that Sinclair may have taken all the Knights Templar treasure and headed west in the late 1300s to what is now called the New World (America). The treasure disappeared and has never been seen since.
There is one theory that the treasure may be sitting at the bottom of the Hole on Oak Island in Nova Scotia Canada, which has a very tricky means of defence (water flooding) and so far noone has been able to get past the water defence that prevents any treasure being found.
