About Me
I am a free-lance researcher for non-fiction authors & a very proud Auntie to three, twin 18yo nephews & a 16yo niece, who live right around the corner from us in a tiny town in the hills of western Massachusetts. I’ve been married to Rick for 32 years & have known him for 47 years. We have four cats & (no exaggeration) thousands of books.
I started scrapping traditionally with 12x12 albums but am now a hybrid scrapper, working mostly in 8.5x11. I love the neatness of digital scrapping but I work so much on the computer that I need a break so the physicality of cutting things up & pasting them down is great!
I used to be an avid gardener & loved working out but caught covid in early March 2020 (before it was officially in my Massachusetts county) & am now dealing with long covid. Life has changed drastically since then & my abilities vary by the day.

This is my first year attempting a December Daily album. These are the previews of what my hybrid layouts will look like - I haven’t had time to print & cut everything out yet but wanted to get them done & up for the winter challenge.

That's really cool that you have the same nativity set! I really love it. Unfortunately, our new-to-us cat Clara also loves it so we spent the first week it was up this year taking pieces away from her as she batted them around the house. We finally gave up & packed it away hoping she won't be interested in it next year. We're pretty sure we found all the pieces, none of which were damaged (which was a relief) but are keeping any eye out in case she hid one/we missed one. That's the fun of Christmas with cats - we spend the first month or two after the tree is down finding things (ornaments, hooks, decorations) in odd corners!
And thank you for the compliment! I'm a science/history nerd with a dollop of creativity thrown in -- so the grid satisfies my need for neatness while allowing the fun of figuring out what to put there!
I have that same Haitian nativity set! Love how your layout has lots of room for photos, while still making room for journalling.
