About Me
I live in a small, rural community north of Toronto, Ontario, Canada with my husband, David and our daughter, Keira. I discovered digital scrapbooking a few years ago, and although I don't have much time for it between work and sports, I'm totally hooked! I'm learning more and more from the DigitalScrapbook.com community and love sharing my projects and gaining inspiration from others'.

In Canada, we celebrate Remembrance Day on November 11th. Our symbol of remembrance is the red poppy. Leading up to the day, many stores sell poppies, and you can see veterans with their poppy boxes, in full dress uniform. I always try to buy from a veteran, so I can thank them for their service.
In Flanders Fields was written by a Canadian physician from Guelph, Ontario, Lieutenant-Colonel John McCrae after presiding over the funeral of his friend Lieutenant Alexis Helmer in WWI. Practically every Canadian kid from Kindergarten onwards can recite this poem from memory as they march in line, led by a veteran, from school to the nearest cenotaph or other memorial, to pay their respects.
