About Me
Middle-aged teenager, mom to a poodle-terrier and a ginger cat. Art historian and educator, I spent 15 years teaching in various countries around the world, but now I have retired to an old farm in Germany, which I will be busy restoring and renovating for the next 20 years or more, no doubt. When I need a break from that, I practice at digital scrapbooking with GIMP, mostly because it is free and due to the house, all hobbies have to be for the foreseeable future!

Found this photo in my archives while looking for something to fit this challenge. A stranger (another bride celebrating at the same venue) gives me an impromptu hug at my wedding reception, and her (gloved) hand ends up stuck to my sequined behind. Yeah, definitely an awkward moment, but no good wedding is without at least one of those!
Most elements in this LO come from the Jane collab kit, but the pink polka dot circle is from Sheila Reid's Renewal contribution, the blue chalk flowers from Janet Scott's Reflections of Strength contribution, the pearl buttons from A Mother's Love, and the small blue flowers from her Summer Fields kit. And of course the challenge prompt, the Awkward Moment from Eli Sahin's Bad Day contribution. Font is Love & Laughter Medium.

Thanks, Bina! This was one of my first digital layouts, but I still like it for the most part.

Thanks Karin. It was a big experiment for me.
Fun photo, great LO :)
Thanks, Elise! I obsessed for a good while trying different combinations. At the last minute I added the blue from the waitress' uniform (behind me, trying to separate the two of us!) and that seemed to balance it all out.
Funny! Lovely colors! :)
Thanks Kaleena, for providing the challenge that got me experimenting with new kits and elements!
