About Me
I came to digital scrapbooking by way of Project Life, which I did in physical form for the first year and then tried out doing digitally, and became hooked for life on digital documenting. I made my first designs to share as contributions for DigitalScrapbook.com blog trains, and am thrilled to now be part of the DigitalScrapbook.com design team! I create products for digital pocket scrapbooking and traditional scrapbooking, and want to support people however I can in creatively and easefully documenting their lives.
You can follow along with my Project Life adventures (and find past blog train goodies and other freebies) at my blog, Scrumptiously: http://eversoscrumptiously.wordpress.com/

Description
One of the hottest trends right now in pocket scrapping, both digital and paper, is the use of photo overlays. Pocket Basics Photo Overlays can be used to add detail or continuity to your pocket pages (try a whole 2-page layout where each photo is framed in its own "day of the week" overlay, it looks great).
The caption frame overlays have space for a date and caption that you can include right on your photo. You know what that means, don't you? That's right - more room for pretty filler cards in your journal card spots! Photo overlays can be a #journalcardjunkie's best friend. The Polaroid-style frame overlays are perfect for framing a photo - vertical, horizontal, or square - in a vertical 3x4 pocket, with room for a caption or journaling right there below the photo.
The Pocket Basics Photo Overlays kit includes 14 photo overlays that cover a mix of shapes, sizes, and orientations, as well as a pretty scripted overlay for each day of the week.
Overlays come in 3 formats
- a PNG overlay you can just drop on top of your photo
- a layered overlay template (in both PSD & TIF format) you can clip your photo into that has the date and caption ready for you to edit
- as a brush in an .abr brush set.
A link to the free font "Special Elite," used in the template captions, is included in the kit download.

PS I'm a huge fan of Special Elite, mostly because it looks almost exactly like how my Dad's typewriter printed/typed.
