Lizianne, you are welcome!
Ah, thanks for explaining. ;)
JMJ are the opening of World Youth Day (event name) in Portuguese, the language of Brazil: Jornada Mundial da Juventude
Lizanne, the Rio de Janeiro is very beautiful. Christ the Redeemer one can see the whole city from above. It is one of the most beautiful ways to see Rio de Janeiro, no doubt.
The World Youth Day is a gathering of young Catholics from around the world created by the Holy Father Josão Paul II in 1985. In this meeting young people from around the world profess their faith and come together to exchange experience on their experience with Jesus into reality of their countries together co Pope. In 2013 it was in Rio de Janeiro and although I would not be ... well .... so young I attended and it was wonderful. The whole event and developed for 1 week on Copacabana beach and the audience was estimated at 3 milões and a half people. As you can see in the pictures the entire Copacabana beach was filled people. The next World Youth Day will be in the year 2016 in Poland.
Cool layout! I've always wanted to visit that area & see that statue... What does JMJ stand for, Marcela?
That's it. The World Youth Day held in Brazil in 2013.
3 and a half million people on Copacabana Beach. The public just was not superior to that of his country that met 4 million people if I'm correct.
They were great days !!
was this during the World Youth Day?
Wonderful days of much prayer, fellowship and lots of peace in Rio de Janeiro.
Young people around the world united by Jesus!
what a wonderful photo of Pope Francis. lucky you that he was facing you when you took this picture, Marcela! :-)
