About Me
New to Digital Scrapbooking, just started in 2019, want to make a record of family stories before my mother passes away. My dad died in 2016. I currently live in Canada but was born and raised in New Zealand, and emigrated to Canada upon marrying my Canadian spouse. Home Country - lets see - New Zealand or Canada? Which to choose? Most of my photos will be from NZ, but any pics of my son will be from Canada. MY IP Address will say that I am in Canada which is fine. My mother and sister are still back in NZ so I will make my home country as NZ for now. For Facebook, I dont check it every day - I am not addicted to FB, and I use a different name for privacy. My image is myself as a child - aged about 2 or 3 years old

Digital Scrapbook LayoutDescription
This page was made for the April 2020 Journaling Challenge which asks for a Before and After Story.
I was scrolling through some old photos trying to find something I could use for a before and after page - and hopefully something that I have not already used. I was quite shocked when I came across the graffiti wall photo, but I instantly knew that this was my story!!
I can still remember the odd times when the city council would come out to the park to white wash the walls and paint over all the old graffiti. I guess they got tired of having to do this so many times, so they eventually commissioned an artist to paint a mural - one that covered both sides of the wall.
The top photo is dated 2005 and the bottom photo is dated 2014.
And if you think you have seen the bottom mural photo before, yes I have used it before here on PS prior to this page. I have also used the mural on the other side of the wall, for a page as well. I will place a link to those pages below.
Both murals still exist on these walls, as of June 2019 according to the Google street view, although the sunset through the tunnel section is now somewhat faded.
As you can also tell, there has been quite a lot construction in the area as well. New condo buildings in 2014, that were not there in 2005.
