About Me
My favorite hobbies are scrapbooking, genealogy, and needle crafts. I do LOTS of scrapbook genealogy.
I started paper scrapbooking in 1999, have done digital scrapbooking for 20 years and more, well over a thousand pages, and digital graphics several years before that. But I don't want to be a designer.
Currently, I work at a university and love it. The students and the serene atmosphere on our beautiful campus are the best!
Description
Journaling reads:
Once upon a time, there lived a man who emigrated to Jamestown in 1621 to whom King Charles, I gave letters patent granting him the right to settle and trade in a large swathe of the land belonging to Virginia and as far north as what is now Newfoundland. Unfortunately, the King had neglected his geography lessons and granted the best part of that same area - where the man was already well-established and successful - to his friend, Lord Baltimore who had the bad manners to die, leaving it to his son to sort out. In the end, it caused a war between the Virginia and Maryland Colonies, and the Claiborne and Calvert families. The man lost everything in contention and fought for it until his death in 1677. The man was my 11th great grandfather.

Wow, you've been lucky to trace your ancestry back that far, Susan. I haven't been able to get any further back than my great, great grandfather. Nice LO too.
