Watch Me Digital Scrapbook: Week 18 2019

By Marisa Lerin Sat, 09/28/2019 - 00:00

In this week's Watch Me Digi Scrap video I use the Stormy Weather Papers by Allison Pennington. I love that patterns that Allison makes, and her color choices are always spot on. My problem with a lot of kits for sale is that I find the elements too limiting. But these papers were too lovely to pass up, so I used them with a collection of random things from DigitalScrapbook.com.

Process Video #51: Junk Journal

An unusual orange paper in the middle of my junk journal calls for a pumpkin themed spread! In order to minimize the number of orange pages I have to use, I turn the paper into a pocket with double-sided tape on the top and bottom. Inside the pocket I make a little spread with some beautiful tissue paper, and then I make another layered spot on the front of the envelope.

Watch Me Digital Scrapbook: Week 17 2019

By Marisa Lerin Sat, 09/21/2019 - 00:00

In this week's Watch Me Digi Scrap video I use the beautiful Rachel Etrog Weekend kit. The beautiful floral paper in this collection caught my eye (as they always do), as well as the softer color palette, which I tend to prefer when working on pocket style layouts because there's a lot going on with all the photos.

Process Video #50: Junk Journal

On this simple spread in my junk journal I used a couple random paper layers behind the photo and cut some labels from the June Good Life Print Kit. A floral embellishment from my stash, some black photo corners and a handmade label finish off this project.

New Today: Layout Templates Kit #48

By Marisa Lerin Mon, 09/16/2019 - 00:00

Lots of background layers in today's new layout template release. I'm more of a paper layers person, than an elements person and I think my layout templates reflect that. I spend most of my time creating interesting layers for the papers and then point out some areas where you could put elements. What do you love to include in your layouts?

Using the Good Life: June 2019 Collection for this layout.

I love using the Journal Me pages that I design for the monthly Good Life collection. These pages make it really easy to finish a double-sided spread when you only really want to make one side of the spread, which is my usual situation. I also printed some of the items from this collection on transparency, and I’ve used one as an in-between page here to add some fun texture.

Pocket Pages: January & February 2019

By Marisa Lerin Wed, 09/11/2019 - 00:00

Since it's September I thought I'd share some of my pocket pages from 2019. I usually do a better job of sharing them, but better late than never. This is the fifth year that I've done a weekly pocket style spread and it's a pretty firmly entrenched routine in my life at this point. On Saturday morning I go through the photos on my phone and collect any interesting ones from Jordan's (Google Photo makes this very simple).

Bundle Spotlight: September 2019

By Marisa Lerin Mon, 09/09/2019 - 00:00

I've been uploading kits and bundles to DigitalScrapbook.com for seven years. That means there's a lot of fun stuff, but sometimes it can be overwhelming. I thought I'd start sharing some of my favorite bundles from over the years. Here's a couple to kick things off:

Using the Good Life: June 2019 Collection for this layout.

In a surprising turn, I did a little journaling on this layout using one of the list Journal Me pages. I also printed another of the Journal Me pages on a transparency (I had this done at the local FedEx store). The right side of the spread is a simple little cluster of some soft layers.

Gallery Spotlight: August 2019

By Marisa Lerin Wed, 09/04/2019 - 00:00

It's time to get back in the swing of things and share some of my recent favorites from the gallery.
It's been a busy summer, but that hasn't kept you all from making some stunning layouts!
