April 2020 Lockdown Challenge

If you haven't seen the news yet, we're planning a Creative Lockdown Challenge starting on April 15th (see more details here). I was just sitting down to my desk to do a little crafting and a super fun idea came to me and I thought I'd share my new plan for the challenge. I will confess to being a bit obsessed with scrapbooking. I do digital pocket pages, I keep a paper junk journal, and I also do hybrid spreads in a travelers notebook. On top of all this, I was toying with the idea of making a some regular digital pages which I haven't done in ages. How to combine this all into some sort of concrete challenge was eluding me. I had initially thought to just do a time challenge, which is fine, but wasn't really inspiring me that much. Then I thought to make a list of the different layouts I wanted to make, which finally evolved into this fun chart.

I plan to choose a square every day to complete, and mark it off as I go. There's no set order to completion, although I do hope to cross off all the squares in thirty days. I should be able to do this because I gave myself some free days, which may mean make what you want, or might mean take a nap. It's important to make things doable.

Just wanted to share in case this helps you come up with your own goal for the lockdown challenge. You can also find my chart here if you want to use it. Save a copy for yourself and you can edit the boxes to whatever you want to complete. Let me know if you use it!

I converted mine to a PDF, exported it to photoshop and flattened it, then used my selection tool to put marching ants on the black parts(words and lines), copied them to a nice piece of digital scrapbook paper, now I'm going to use elements to block off each square, at the end of the challenge I'll have a post-able page to show off my hard work!! Well, hoping this works out!
