New Bundle: Khaki Scouts
Even before I started working on this bundle I was really excited about it, and nothing diminished once I started working on it, or even after I finished it. This whole thing came about because of a movie called Moonrise Kingdom. I saw it about a year ago, and ever since I've been a little obsessed. It's possibly my favorite movie ever.
Previous to seeing Moonrise Kingdom, I was slightly obsessed with Fantastic Mr. Fox. It turns out that these two movies were directed by the same person, so now it's safe to say I'm probably a little obsessed with Wes Anderson (The Darjeeling Limited, The Royal Tennebaums, Rushmore, etc).
His movies have a very strong visual theme that carries through pretty much all of them, which is part of the reason I love these movies.
I just love to look at them. It's a great combination of retro and prep.
Once obsessed I knew I would have to try and emulate it somehow in a bundle, and I hope I've managed to catch just a little of whatever it is that I love about those movies. Conveniently, even if you're not obsessed with Wes Anderson, I think this kit may still be useful with it's camping/scouting/fall flavors.
Disclaimer: If you're my mother and reading this post, I don't recommend that you watch Moonrise Kingdom. I'm pretty sure you'll find it ridiculous. Although, you may enjoy Fantastic Mr. Fox.

About Me
Hi There! I’m Marisa Lerin and you’ll see me around at DigitalScrapbook.com a lot. I started this site in 2010 soon after I discovered a new love in digital scrapbooking. DigitalScrapbook.com has gone through some significant changes since that time and it’s grown into this lovely community site you are seeing now. I am daily surprised by the turn of life’s events that has led me down this path. If you're new to the site, welcome! Here are a few tidbits about me that I hope will help you get to know me better!
I’m originally from Minnesota, USA, but spent a good chunk of my childhood living abroad (in Bolivia and Hong Kong). I returned to Minnesota to attend university, got married and then moved overseas again (Korea, then Jordan and 1 year of traveling). My designs are heavily influenced by these many nomadic years. I am currently back in the USA, now living in the great state of Oregon!
I have no official training for what I’m doing, since I decided very wisely (haha) to study physics in university. I am always learning new things about digital scrapbooking, and this community has been immensely helpful for that!
If I manage to stop digital scrapbooking you will probably find me watching TV, reading or baking. I also enjoy writing for the blog here at DigitalScrapbook.com where I talk about whatever happens to be catching my fancy at the moment.

LOVE Moonrise Kingdom!! I was actually pleasantly surprised at the ending, simply because Wes Anderson can be a little dark sometimes. Or at least not entirely optimistic. haha But it really is one of the best movies I've seen in the past year. What a fun inspiration for a kit!!
Hi Marisa, I love Fantastic Mr. Fox too! You've put together a great kit!
Love the colors in this bundle :)
I'll have to check out mr. Fox and the Moonrise Kingdom. I have only seen Anderson's Darjeeling Ltd, which was pretty weird. And I like weird :D
I haven't seen that movie, but I have a Cub scout and a Girl scout in my family so this kit looks very useful! :)
I will definitely check out Moonrise Kingdom, love Fantastic Mr. Fox & have watched it 4 times so far!
Never heard about any of these movies at all... But the photography seems great indeed. I´m definitely not a camping person either.... Id really rather have urban adventures. However, the bits kit is just super awesome, and I like the journal cards, the papers, and the fox embelishment as well... Once again, I´m glad I can download the pieces I like most, without the need to download everything. Do I need to mention how much I love DigitalScrapbook.com again?
Not much of a movie buff here, have never heard of either one, but will have to see if I can get them through our Library service. Love this kit, will be a great one for cottage/camping pages.
I didn't see the movies yet, but now I think I should. The bundle looks very nice. I think you did a great job with it!
I loved the cat in fishing creel! A delightful movie and so was Mr. Fox!!!
Don't you love in Moonrise Kingdom how the kids carry Tang with them everywhere and drink it in fancy mugs and sip it like tea? I love the little funny tid bits Wes Anderson adds to his films. If you like those, you'll love I heart the Hucklebees.
LOVE it! We are so on the same wavelength. I'm pretty obsessed with Wes Anderson too, Tennenbaum and Fantastic Mr. Fox style. The dialogue is what gets me. Do I spy a rosette made out of a scrunchie in this kit?!
I'm finding myself wishing that our family had more time and photos of the many things we love to do, or wish we could do...like camping out. Ohhhh I just need more photos to scrap with these kits! lol
