New Today: Winter Day -- and a New Designer!
Another great DigitalScrapbook.com collaboration for you today, plus introducing our newest designer Jessica Dunn! Thanks so much to everyone for donating to our recent designer drive and making this new addition possible! I'm so pleased to have Jessica on the team, and I'm sure you will be too. Here's a little intro she wrote:
I'm Jessica and I've been a graphics artist for years. Growing up I've always been interested by art in some form. It started as a kid with drawing portraits as well as creating my own paper dolls. At one point my parents worked for an advertising agency and my favorite thing was to visit the art department. I remember thumbing through so many font books. That's probably where my first love of fonts came from. As I got older and the internet emerged I began creating graphics for webpages to express my interests in the arts & the Victorian era. From there I became a web developer/designer and spent years working as such until I decided to put some family priorities first. Thus designing and developing for clients took a back burner. Thankfully my circumstances changed so I could get back to designing but decided to stick to graphics because it's what I loved the most all along. And because I loved digital scrapbooking I would often create kits just for fun. I shared a few on my Victorian blog. Then a few years ago I found DigitalScrapbook.com. I have to say it's been the most friendly and helpful community that I've been a part of. The blog trains here continue to be a wonderful outlet for my creativity.
I currently live in Kentucky with my husband and four kids ages ranging from 17 years to 18 months old. Life is pretty interesting living in a nearly 200 year old brick house, something I had always dreamed of doing. :) When I'm not designing I like to dabble in photography, genealogy & archaeology.
And without further ado, here's this month's Pick Your Pixels Collaboration:
And a little inspiration from the Creative Team:

About Me
Hi There! I’m Marisa Lerin and you’ll see me around at DigitalScrapbook.com a lot. I started this site in 2010 soon after I discovered a new love in digital scrapbooking. DigitalScrapbook.com has gone through some significant changes since that time and it’s grown into this lovely community site you are seeing now. I am daily surprised by the turn of life’s events that has led me down this path. If you're new to the site, welcome! Here are a few tidbits about me that I hope will help you get to know me better!
I’m originally from Minnesota, USA, but spent a good chunk of my childhood living abroad (in Bolivia and Hong Kong). I returned to Minnesota to attend university, got married and then moved overseas again (Korea, then Jordan and 1 year of traveling). My designs are heavily influenced by these many nomadic years. I am currently back in the USA, now living in the great state of Oregon!
I have no official training for what I’m doing, since I decided very wisely (haha) to study physics in university. I am always learning new things about digital scrapbooking, and this community has been immensely helpful for that!
If I manage to stop digital scrapbooking you will probably find me watching TV, reading or baking. I also enjoy writing for the blog here at DigitalScrapbook.com where I talk about whatever happens to be catching my fancy at the moment.
